1 M:rs Shipley, of the United States, has I informed me that lemma startyou have given her permission to translate your ”Doctors Stories”kommentar into English. I think it is very likely|| that thatI may I make an arrangement with her to publish them here in London. It has occurred to mesvårläst p.g.a. inbindning/konservering that, perhaps, you would be willing to lemma startsupply me with clichés of the illustrations of from your editionkommentar, for incorporation in the reprint. May I ask if you would be|| willing to do so, & if the suggestion is agreeable to you, what arrangements should be made for them being sent

    1 you have given her permission to translate your ”Doctors Stories” Marie A. Brown bad enträget om Topelius auktorisation för sin översättning av Fältskärns berättelser, Surgeon’s Stories. I december upprepar hon sin begäran om ett intyg som skulle ge henne rätt till översättningen, och Topelius skriver då till Bonnier: »Jag har svarat: ’Copyright is no monopoly’ – angår mig icke.» (ZT–AB 17/12 1890).

    1 supply me with clichés of the illustrations from your edition Elliot Stock vände sig också till Albert Bonnier som meddelar Topelius: »Äfven jag har haft en förfrågan – från en för mig förut obekant förlagsfirma (Elliot–Stock i London) om lån af klichéerna – hvilket jag naturligtvis intet har emot» (AB–ZT 30/12 1890). Utgivningen blev inte av.
