1 In reply to yours of the 13:th February. I thank you for the kind interest you have shown my tales. it is a pleasure for me to give my permission to your translation of a new selection of ”Läsning för Barn”, but I beg to inform you that 1881 two collections of my tales were published in English 1881 by Albert Alberg (W. H. Allen & C:o 13 Waterloo place London S. W.), named ”Whisperings in the Woods” and ”Snowdrops”. I do not wish to see thesvårläst p.g.a. skada your manuoläsligt p.g.a. skadascript, as I hope fully have full confidence in your ability as a translator. But if an new English selection of my tales vill be published, I beg you to ask your publisher to send me 5 copies of it and a sum of £ to tell your publisher, that my terms for a volume of the size of some of the two above mentioned books, are 10 £ and 5 copies of the book, beside the disposition right over an eventual second edition. I beg to inform you that
